CVA Legislative and Political Director Dan Caldwell to seek support for VA Accountability Act pending in Congress
The conference originally scheduled for May has been postponed into June to accommodate an additional sponsor for the Freedom Leadership Conference to focus on the VA Accountability Act just introduced in Congress. The new sponsor is Concerned Veterans for America, which will send its Legislative and Political Director, Marine veteran Dan Caldwell, to speak to the Conference. Dr. Johnnie L. Simpson, Jr. will speak in behalf of the other conference sponsor, Uniformed Services League. To attend the free conference an advance RSVP is required. The new conference flyer is HERE.
Details and early bird ticket deadlines are now set to expire on June 15 but whether you want to save money by buying one of the limited dinner tickets (only SEVEN tickets are left unsold) or simply or simply attend the free conference starting at 7:30 PM sharp, you should RSVP at once and in any event mark your calendar for Wednesday evening, June 24.
For those who want to have dinner with the two speakers and the conference leadership, the early bird deadline for discounted tickets is now set for Monday, June 15, 11 PM, click HERE.
One of our two principal speakers for June 24, Dan Caldwell is a Marine Corps veteran and currently serves as the Legislative and Political Director for Concerned Veterans for America. Dan served in Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 1st Marine Division. He also worked for two years as a congressional caseworker handling constituents’ issues with the VA.
Dr. Johnny L. Simpson, Jr., speaks for the other conference sponsor, Uniformed Services League, from his perspective of helping military veterans fight the VA bureaucracy for the help they were promised when they joined the military.
Important note: at this date/time there are seven (7) dinner tickets left. Also there is limited seating for the free conference. So please RSVP at once.
Additional speakers will be announced but we remind our readers that an advance RSVP is required to attend either the free conference from 7:30 to 9 PM (doors open 7 PM), or the dinner from 6 to 7 PM (doors open 5:30 PM with early bird ticket discount available).
The new Flyer for the conference can be viewed or printed HERE.

Concerned Veterans for America has a distinguished record of speaking out for the concerns of military veterans and is an early and strong supporter of the VA Accountability Act introduced by Congressman Jeff Miller, Chairman of the Veterans Affairs Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, in late April. CVA Chief Executive Officer Pete Hegseth appeared at a news conference with a number of Congressmen and other veterans organizations to announce support for the new legislative proposal.
The other conference sponsor, Uniformed Services League, has also strongly supported passage of this bill. It has been one year since news reports inspired by whisteblowers inside the VA revealed that the long waits for promised medical care was causing severe pain and even death for some veterans.
No one has been fired during the one year of this scandal, and several whistleblowers have actually been punished by the VA for telling the truth. The VA Accountability Act will help attack this problem and the Wednesday, June 24 Freedom Leadership Conference will focus on this and related veteran issues.
